When it comes to choosing friends....I'm at an age where I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

It would not bother me if you didn't do it to anything rare or with condition... its your rifle and if you think you would like it... go for it! But you have to post pictures here so everyone can see.... ....and comment Cheers

A long time back I ran onto a .300 in camo with the plastic stocks on it at the Houston Collector's show. It had $220 on it and no one would touch it - including me. Shoulda, woulda, coulda...

would any of you guys ever get your savage dipped in camo? even if it was your least favorite, or a project to you? Can't believe those words could even come out of somebodies mouth. Should be washed out with a good dose of soap and water. I am just going to pretend I didn't hear that.

Yes, I might dip a postmil 99E with trashed birch stock rather than try to refinish it. Stock only, though.
Anything else? Nope..

I saw a .308 in a gun shop recently that had green and white striped wood. Not painted, that was the way it looked after being taken down. It looked factory? I don't know.

I'm pretty much a blue steel and fine walnut kind of guy. Then again, I don't have an Iphone either. Never saw the need to run out and get something new just because it's relatively new or just because it could be done. Most old stuff works. You just have to know how to work it.
