No more local rifle manufacturer. T/C arms will be closed on this date. Employee said maybe down the road you might be able to do a call-in for a custom barrel. All repairs will be a ship in to the plant. Don't know where it will be. All on hand stock at Fox Ridge is 20% off.

Wow! Does that mean my Pro Hunters are now collectibles??
Wasn't TC bought by the same group that bought Remington, Marlin, etc.?

T/C was bought by Winchester. The employee that I spoke with said that down the road they may open the custom shop again, make a special run of 2 calibers, maybe like 300 of each caliber, sell them off and then make 2 more runs of different calibers and run that route. Don't know if they'll open the doors again. About 415 people out of work.

Ken, Do you mean Winchester/Olin... Or Winchester/FN? Funny, I thought that it was Smith&Wesson that bought T/C... Well, I guess my Contender collection just went up in price... Edw

Aww I wonder what all the TV hunters are going to do now?
Not gonna be able to say "Got this big deer with my T/C whatever" anymore.
Thats OK, I got sick and tired of watching those guys running around with their Prohunters with the stupid big T/C sticker on it anyway.
I'm glad

Pretty sure it's only the store that's closing, the factory isn't changing - at least that's what I've seen bouncing around the net.

They paid for so many hunting shows and gave away so many of their rifles that it's a wonder they lasted this long.

Well...theres always NEF.

I would take an NEF any day over a T/C.

T/C was bought by Winchester. Better check your sources a bit more closely. "Winchester" has not been in business for many years.

Does this mean there won't be any more of those danged shows on where the hunter only uses a T/C rifle?
Yipeee!
You'd think nobody ever hunted anything with a Ruger, Remington or Winchester - only T/C's from blinds at corn - fed whitetails... (I got to watch a lot of TV while healing up from surgery, the T/C hunting shows about drove me nuts. Maybe getting so agitated helped the healing process?)
I do like my 15 year old T/C traditional muzzle loader though, very good on mulies.

Well what I didnt like about the T/C's was what I stated above. On the other side of the coin I have had a T/C Contender and while it was nice...it was a SINGLE SHOT!...of which I am not a fan of. Heres my current T/C that I wont be getting rid of anytime soon.

I'm glad Umm, I would say stop watching the shows then. [quote=Tom264]Well what I didnt like about the T/C's was what I stated above. So, you're glad a company is laying off people because you dont like the people on tv who use their product....you are not a fan of single shots....but that pretty picture of the T/C you wont be getting rid of anytime soon.....is a single shot isnt it? You seem to be talking in circles...having a few cold ones tonight?
