Hey gang,

I have a school assignment due in my research class. I have to create a questionire with 5 to 10 question and have 10 or so people take the survey and do a paper on my findings.
What better place to have random people take a survey for my class than the campfire. The survey I came up with and questions are on the 2nd Amendment and gun control.

Anyone willing to take the survey for me?

No personal info is needed, just the questions answered for me to draw a conclusion and comprise my report.

How do you feel about the 2nd Amendment?
a. I support it and its fine the way it is
b. I don�t support it but should be left alone
c. I think it should be revised for modern day

You will hardly get an unbiased sample on this or any other gun/shooting forum.

If predictable answers is what your class and you require then this is indeed the proper venue.

Doesn't matter if its biased or unbiased, just need people to take the survey so I can do a report on my findings and comment on the validity and reliability of my survey.
I think with this I am using nonprobability sampling since I know the group I am dealing with and where I am conducting this survey.
What lead me to doing it on the campfire, is simple, there are always trolls or anti's hanging around from time to time and maybe just maybe they will take this survey and alter the findings. I can already imagine most if not all will answer like Ken did. Then again I could be wrong.
No names will be used and any private surveys will stay that way if PM'd to me. The source will remain nameless in my report and will be noted as an online forum I frequent so that no one knows the affiliation or the website but us. But I will be able to say this is a country wide survey if I can get people from different parts to answer the questions.

Thanks again guys and thanks nsaqam for the thoughts on unbiased. Now I can add another piece to my paper and hopefully meet the complete requirements.

I'll share the paper with you guys to see if you want when I finish it and hand it in.

I got the swankiest lodging in all my undergraduate university years because I said "Yes, ma'am" and "No, ma'am" to the old lady who at first told me that she had no more space to rent.

She often said later that she'd thought We must have this young man in our house, specifically because of those "ma'ams."

All the other guys rented bunk space � not rooms � in the semifinished basement. For the same modest rent, I got a posh guest room with maid service.

It's a fine survey and I've indicated my answers above. But the survey ignores the real reason that our founding fathers included the right to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights. I suggest that you add another question to the survey for your research paper. It should read as follows.

The founding fathers included the right to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights so that we were guaranteed the ability to protect ourselves. What group were the founding fathers most concerned about?
a. Criminals
b. Our neighbors
c. The government
d. Illegal aliens
e. None of the above


I think this question is designed to get a certain result.
