What's different about the Boddington #1s vs the non-Boddington #1. Thinking about a 450/400 NE and am not sure whether to put my money on a 'standard' or Boddington version.

I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

I think the differences are the wood, finish, and the rings. At those are the ones I recall.

There is no accounting for taste.

Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.

Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however,
Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

The Boddington version also has express iron sights. The rings are warne QD, and the stock is circassian. My attitude is, if you are taking the gun to Africa, its probably worth the money. If its a range shooter/safe queen, probably not, unless you are a collector. JMHO

The Boddington No. 1s have a matte blue, "express" sights, and Warne rings.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

The Boddington's are also specially serial numbered with their own set of numbers with a CB and the next numeral of 1 thru 5 depending on the version(animal), with the last 5 digits being 00XXX, from 00001 thru 00250
