I just received a Golden Ticket from My Bride for my LONG awaited Bison hunt...

I plan to use my Marlin XLR in 450 M...

That said I have loaded up some 400g Speer ammo to about 1900ft/sec.

Do you any of you have any experience with this bullet on this type of beast?

temmi, the old time buff runners used bullets that were usually alloyed at about 18:1 and at about a high of 1400fps. I assure you that if you put it "in the lights" it will kill quite nicely.

I killed a 1000,lb cow, with a 86 Win. 1901, with the rem 405s, but I was like 50yrds, 2 shots in the lungs, broad side! went 60 -70yrds, killed a 400lb Black bear, same rem 405s 30yrds, went in top of the neck, thru the body out a hind quarters! slow but powerful!

Deer Camp! about as good as it gets!
