He will have to tell the story again, with bear on head of course.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

We stopped at 3 of the Zorbas today. We put about 350 miles on the bike. That was a little much for that small seat on that Victory. It was fun though. I think I will have to put an ice pack on my rear.

Stan in SC
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Zorbaz is a lakes area pizza/mexican food joint and bar. They have a passport and if you get a stamp from each one you get a free touring Zorbaz tshirt. There are 9 of them. I have 4 more stamps to get, 2 of them are close to home. It is a really fun place to go. Well I guess all of them are. Check out the website: www.zorbaz.com

Well now it looks like the season is starting early for us this year, deadline for 10 year olds to hunt is Aug 20, so my oldest boy is gonna sign up for the Bemidji State Park hunt.
That hunt will be on Oct. 16-17. It will be good for him to be able to go on his own and hunt with me alone. Dad will be just be there as an assistant and he will be doing it all himself.
Last year he passed on 6 shots due to light, weather, vehicles, people, etc. His younger brother got one the last weekend of ther regular season and it has gnawed on him all year.
While the DNR baffles me with how they do things. I do think that allowing kids the chance to hunt without the pressure of competition from adults is a wonderful thing.
So he is gonna use his Rem 700 .243 with 100 gr. Fusions or handloads as he chooses. Topped it with a 2x7 Leupold.
This will probably change my fall plans but he is definately worth it.

Tzone that is not nice. The Ford has not been running right lately. If it broke down I would have had to pull it home with my Chevy. Glad to see you are back! Are you all settled in?

Not totally settled. We still don't have any internet. Should come on friday and fix that. I'm staying with my dad for a few days to work on some of my projects. I have a trailer I have to get road worthy so I can haul my wheeler around. I have my 78 f-150 that I need to get the cab switched and painted too.

TZone, take a minute and set up the voice mail on your cell phone. I tried to call you this AM, but got a message that you haven't set it up yet.

He he, very funny. Actually the ol Ford only needs new spark plugs and wires. Well we hope that will do it. It is a pretty good truck for only $300. It is an extended cab and it even has a liftgate on it. That liftgate has come in very handy.
