I just purchased a Swaro range finder and I seem to be having some trouble with the display. It is very sensitive to the background lighting and my pupil position. At times the display disappears completely and I have to move my eye around and get to a darker background to see the readout at all. Is it normal for these to be this picky or does it need to go back?

On mine if I am ranging into a very bright area the readout is sometimes a little hard to see. It has never caused a problem. I have never had it disappear completely.

I have not had that issue. (sometimes in heavily front-lit situations you do have to adjust your eye a bit but the readout has always been visible without dis-mounting)
