Supposed to weigh 5 pounds and have a 10 1/2 inch pull with the ability to add an inch. In 410 & 20. I would suppose that the 20 might be a bit stiff for a 10 year old. I've got an 870 youth/20 but it's too heavy for him yet.

Thanks

Jerry

Ok,

I picked up this shotgun after looking at one locally. Went with the 410 for recoil reasons. feel it will be a good match for him and glad of my gauge selection after watching him roll with the recoil in this very light gun. I put the included spacer in the stock and it fits him good. Will work for squirrels, small game birds, woodsroaming, working on clay pigeons.

I'll try to get a picture up later.

Jerry

No, a 12 gauge would be child abuse (at his age/size).

Bought the 510 mini 20 ga for my 11 year old son. He has not problems with it whatsoever after about 250 rounds. Shooting trap is fine but it's still stiff on the sporting clay range (we throw singles for him). I have ordered the factory turkey choke for it so we'll see how that goes in October.
