How heavy of a bullet will the 1/9 twist work well with? Im hoping to use some in the 70gr range. I hope this isnt an old question but any thoughts are appreciated

My 1 in 9 twist rifle shoots the 69 gr. MatchKing very well, as it does the 75 gr. AMax. Try N 540 or Varget, it should shoot well.

I was going to try Varget and the 69gr matchkings so im on somewhat of a decent start. Thanks, it sure is easier to ask someone about their own experiences if one really desires to know

with a hot load most 9s will stablilize 80s... maybe not totally at 100 yards, but at longer ranges they will be asleep.... so your range of 70s should be no issue.

The 69gr. SMK's and Nosler custom competition seem to perform the best in my 1:9 stag. Have also gotten very good performance from the 60gr. Nosler BT's.
