Wow, that's great news! I'm very happy for Cole and his family.

He's good!
You'd never be able to tell that the 5 pound dog was stung bu 5 hornets a few days ago.
Something clever here.

It was 6. Lys took out 4 and I took out 2. Poor little guy. That was such a terrible feeling to hear him squealing like that and not being able to see where he was and what was happening. I'm just so glad he is ok. At least you didn't get stung like that. We would have had to make a trip to the ER. Maybe you would have had to take more of them horse pills.

Dave, you're allergic to bees? I didn't know that. i heard beer helps people who get stung, and people say doctors can't prescribe alcohol anymore, its a shame more people would be happy me thinks

Poor ol Eener. 6 stings is pretty tough on a little guy like that.
Our dog (Daisy) was chewing at her foot and crying last week for a couple hours. We couldn't find anyting in it, so I was guessing it was hornets, bee's, wasps, whatever. We have plenty of them around right now for some reason. Usually don't have that may til fall.
I'd like to find the nest tho before one of the kiddo's gets zapped.

I've had bee traps out since late May and they're doing their job.
Anyone else notice that the flies are starting to bite? Normally not a issue until mid to late August.

We think this was a ground nest that eener found last weekend.
Them damn bees built nests in the outhouse, the bbq grill, in the enclosed deer stands, just everywhere.

We had a ground nest out back a few summers back. It was next to a walking path and I had to do something about it. So I put on my leather snowmobile suit, complete with helmet firmly duct taped to my shoulders and walked out there with the bee spray and went to battle. It was hilarious watching them try and get to me. Just a cloud of them suckers. Yeah, well, okay, I might have talked a little trash to them. I threw a shutout that day, no stings and all bees dead.
However, the neighbor lady saw me and to this day she thinks I have a few screws loose.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

Lastnight the neighbor dog come into our shop and took one of Dozer's toys. I walked outside and tried to call him back, But he wouldn't come. I looked over and there was a nice big doe standing in our yard 40 yards from me. She just stood there even after I was hollering for the dog. She looked at me for about 10 seconds then turned and walked into the woods. It is pretty neat, we have 2 does and 2 fawns that hang around here and they are not too scared of much.

I am just picturing that. Funny! Me too. I like to blow them up with gas. a beesplosion. little wings and legs everywhere, and when you find them, they're crispy like potato chip, and not too bad. I propabaly shouldn't do that to the ones under my deck though.

I'm going to be real surprised if I don't find bees nests in my enclosed blind. I'm going to be carrying a couple of cans of hornet spray when I go up in Sept to check it out.

ya joey let him out and 1 min. later he was freaking out better check the little guy for stingers, very carefully. if you find any just carefully scrape them out with your fingernail or something. Careful not to squeeze the little bulb on the stinger or you will actually inject more bee venom into the little guy.
