Cow tags are good! My wife and I put in as a group (pair?) and drew 'em in a good area, where we'll hunt with some good friends. Nothing better than that....

I was going to look at antelope, but I'd rather look at deer/elk somewhere new. Where we're going we'll be looking at elk, mule deer, whitetail AND antelope....possibly from one spot....grin!

Where I'm going, I got a bull permit ! But, I have to admit, they'll give 'em to anyone who has an elk or combo license......
I can shoot a mulie in that area if I want. The two areas I like to hunt have an amazing variety of big game. Elk, deer, pronghorn, bear and bighorn sheep. For a Kalifornia hunter, I feel like I died and went to heaven every time I get to hunt there. Heck, I can watch two of favorite hunting areas from the RV park where I stay and count the elk..... WOW ! E

I am an MT non res.
I got a local draw 3 years ago, shot all my ammo and missed everything.
I got a general draw last year, but I had an antelope and 3 deer in the truck, so I drove passed the elk hunting on the way home.
I got another local draw this year.
My MT resident hunting buddies are pulling their hair out over my luck.
