Skeeters must not have been too bad given all the skin showing in the pics! Sure beats going to the supermarket for your berries! Is this a better than typical year for blueberries? Looks like a great weekend was had by all.

I was just too hot for skeeters.

And yes, this is the best berry picking I've ever seen. There is more wild fruit harvest to come too, choke cherries are next (they are looking very good) and then closer to the fall like close to or just after our first fall frost I'll pick highbush cranberries which also look very good this year.

Our place is between Middle River and Newfolden. We do not have the berry variety you have but we sure have the bugs! Might need to come visit and get some bushes for a berry transplant effort.

Wow, looks like I missed out on some great berry pickin. Glad Ryan and his little one got the chance to get up there. He has really grown since the pics I saw during deer hunting.

Looked like a super weekend dave! I know we should have headed that way saturday evening. I was plum tuckered out though. been in rochester all last week and got home at 2am saturday morning then picked up the new expy and mowed some grass for the father-n-law, helped lestifer with his well pump and an evening drive around the crops up north. we were fairly close to your area though for a short bit. headed home at 10pm. Some good berries out there i see. wish i liked pickin'

Very produtive weekend Dave. Sure hope we have a good blackberry crop this year. Raspberries had a mold issue due to all the rain we've had.

Good morning everyone!

I get to drive the RR to work today...I'm a little excited. Hope I don't spill my coffee when I'm shifting those gears. Finally pried it away from Dave long enough so I could drive it ONE day. Geez. At least he didn't get as mad as Weezie did when I took her Mustang, guess mom has to ask to take the car nowadays. My oh my. grin

Well if you hear tires squealing or the smell of burnt rubber, think of me and know that Dave trained me well or maybe I'm just a good observer. wink
