I just picked up a Indian Deerslayer for 10 bucks. It has 25 pound draw at with 25 pound let off at 30 in. It does not have sights on it, but i plan on buying some from a archery shop. What size game could i take down with it? And what grain broadheads should i use? Thank You.

That's a pretty light bow weight. I remember having that bow as a kid.I think you mean 25# draw weight with a 30" draw length. Although I wouldn't use it on large game it probably would be OK for small game.Light arrows with 75 gr tips would work or judo's. As for sights Wal-Mart should have what you need. The Indian Deerslayer was a 50# bow with 50% let-off and a draw length of 30". Are you sure this isn't what you have??

Sorry it was a typo. It is 50# with 50% let off at 30 in. Which is really more along 28 inches.

that was my first bow when I was 10ish. Conned mom into buying it for me out of the Sears Catalog. I think it was a year before I could draw it myself. smile It doesn't have a string with tear drops on the cable, correct? Just one continuous rubber coated cable?

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
