Well we just had quite a run of new calibers...303, 30-40, 30-30, 264, 257 Roberts, 450 Nitro, 450/400, 35 Whelen, 9.3 x 74, 300 H&H and I'm sure I might have missed some....What do you think we have to look forward to from here??

22 LR in a 1/2 scale model, which folks wouldn't buy 'cause they'd say, "wow, that would make a great size for a .22 Hornet!"
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I would like to see something akin to the Boddington's. Higher end wood, different checkering, better sights, etc. I wonder how well the Stainless Steel/laminates sell? Seemed slightly mis-matched to me, classic rifle/modern materials? Maybe a "Tactical" with a collapsable A4 stock, and a oversized knob on the lever? In .50 BMG ofcourse.....

Seriously though,a #1 International in 358win would be nice.Or a 1B in 257Weatherby would get my attention for sure. A 1H in 8mm mag. The list is endless.

I have a #3 in 375win and it's pretty handy.
My top choice would be a 1-A in 6.5 x 57, but I figure there is no chance of that happening.
Edit-I say a 1-A it would be a 22-23" clean barrel sans rib and sights in a 1-A contour.

There is no accounting for taste.
Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.
Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however, Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

A 260, 6.5x55, or even 7/08 would be nice in an RSI, even a 338 Federal A 250-3000, well I have about given up, but would be first in line, RSI or 1A. OH, put some NICE wood on those to be sure!

I happen to like the SS laminated 1V, but the lack of calibers stinks! There should have been a .220 Swift, a .223 Rem and to get nostalgic, one in .225 Winchester, YES!

Whatever it is, only 1/4 of everyone that says "I'd buy that" will actually buy it.

I'll take a 1AH in 260 please.
That new 6.5 Creedmoor sounds nice but would prefer the AH configuration over the B.

I have read over the years on various forums about configuration wishes for new No.1's. There seems to be a lot of differences in requirements, other than they would like a No.1.
In the last few years, I have read a lot about those that simply use a donor No.1 and make up what they what at the time. Seems logical in a way, the action will do rimfire up thru the big boomers, wood is available, and some of the best barrel blanks ever. They seem to be doing a change of caliber for a fraction of a new No.1 special run purchase. Perhaps they are not into collecting or speculations, just another another group that likes the No.1 rifle.
So if one could hope for "A" No.1 being built for a while, without much care to specifics, that would be great on my part. Just keep building something.
I do wish that Ruger would lighten up on their wood stock purchase requirements, that would be nice for those that like the Ruger factory stock flavor.

I'd like to see a 1-S in 280 Improved, with a 28 inch barrel.

Just orderd my 303 Brit, I expect delivery in a couple of week. I am a previous owner of a B78 45 70 and a 78 in 3006. Just holding them sent shivers up my spine. Been away from rifles for the past decade, and this #1A will be my reintroduction. I'm looking forward to reloading and targeting this rifle, as a hobby in my retirement years.
