What's the cheapest place to buy one with four shell holders.
Anyone that's used them care to offer your opinion of them?

I can't help you on the cheapest place to buy. I do have the press and have been using it since 1989. Mostly use it for pistol cartridges and .22 Hornet. Any case larger than a .222 or so are a bit difficult to full length resize. All in all, I really like the press but have a RCBS single stage for heavy duty sizing.

Jim,
I don't have the 444, but in 1962, I bought the CH three die press. I have used it for the majority of my reloading. I have relaoded up to & including 338 cal. Mag. I can't believe it would not handle any thing for sizing, as it sure is built to last.

Let me add to the resize thingy. If you compare to the RCBS with the compound leverage, the 444 is not as easy to full length resize. I THINK when I bought the press it was advertised as being able to FL resize cases to .308 but I'm not sure. It is a very solid press and quick to change calibers and that is one of the reasons I bought it. I do about 90% of my loading on it. You won't go wrong with it.
All well, W

Thanks for the responses, gentlemen.
Another press is at hand for long case or heavy duty sizing. I find the mechanics of the thing intriguing.

I bought the press as a result of an article in Handloader/Rifle magazine I read. Give me a couple of days and I'll look it up and get back to you. Might be able to send you a copy.

if you want a press that has great resizing power and ergonomic's, try C-H's Heavyweight Champion, it's the best press I have ever used, and I have and have had a large collection of presses to compare it to. ( cheaper than collecting guns)

Mr. Stewart, I sent you an email. Since I am so new on this board, I didn't know if it would make to you and so I wanted you to know I have the article in hand and will make you a copy.
All well, WD
