I've got a Blount catalog from 4 or 5 years ago that shows both Simmons and Weaver so I'm guessing its been a while. Just buy the damn scope and get it over with. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, Blount bought all three, then sold them to ATK, which sold them to Meade.

Meade has Weaver positioned as their top line. Simmons did not buy Weaver, they were bought by Blount which owned Weaver.

Meade is announcing that Simmons "Master Class" technology innovations will upgrade the Simmons line. The press release I got was interesting, and the catalog pdf available on simmonsoptics.com is descriptive as well.
We will see.
