Hi Gang, I came across a great buy on a NIB Browning A-Bolt Stalker .204, wondering if any of you have them and what you think about them. I know Browning didn't keep the .204 in the line up very long, not sure why. At 350.00 I think it's a good buy, I just don't know much about them. Thanks in advance for your input.

NIB for $350? If you want to test drive a 204 I can't think of a better opportunity.

I have an A Bolt , but it's chambered for the Hornet . I have a 204 , but it's in a Ruger .
I like 'em both fine but can't for the life of me figure why the A bolt magazine is sized to hold only three 22 Hornet cartridges .

When you put four hornets together in a box, they get angry.

Well last week I took the new Ruger .204, Ruger 25-06, Savage .204 and .223 for a sighting in session at the gun club. All of these are heavy varmint/predator rifles with stainless fluted barrels except the Ruger 25-06 heavy barrel but not stainless.
A young shooter and I had a great time zeroing in the rifles with the new Bushnell 3200 Tactical series scopes on top. Once you learn what those mil-dot recticles can do, it is a lot more fun and misses are a lot closer also.

I have the A- Bolt in 204 in a stalker config. IT IS A TAC DRIVER! I do not regret the purchase at all.

I have an A-Bolt Varmint in 204 Ruger. I happened into it slightly used, not as good of a price as you though. I like the round for P-dogging.

I don't think Browning ever cataloged the .204s. They were a SHOT Show special item, though, and I've seen several in that configuration.
