There is a definite market for a left-handed CRF, other than Ruger.

Who will jump first?

Win, did make LH model 70's for a few years, MRC also makes CRF.
It would be nice to see them come back including short actions.

I'd prefer a LH Kimber 84L in .270 but I'd take a LH M70 if they made one.
Kinda pisses me off that so many companies completely disregard the LH market.

LH hand rifles seem to be short runs then disappear. You need to grab them when you see them.
Over the years I've colledted these.

I would be glad to see either, but PLEASE make something we don't already have.

In other words, please don't make another heavy, full size .270/.30-06/7mm RM/.300 Magnum.

A nice short action Featherweight with an actual Featherweight contour barrel would be good, not a full size 24" WSM just stuck in a Featherweight style stock. IF they did it would probably be a .243 and .308.

Any 84M Montana would be great - short action and light weight. Again, the last thing we need is yet another .27030-067mmRM300WM combo.

While we're on this, kudos to Ruger and Tikka for their left handers in something a little different, particularly Ruger's 7mm-08 offering in a 22" barrel. Hallelujah! Remington puts out a LH 7mm-08 but only with 20" barrel in a youth stock. I see Ruger will probably make some LH 6.5X55's, but with a 20" barrel?!

I feel what you're saying Jim but any Kimber 84, long or short is something we don't already have.

Kimber....make it and we will buy!

Why is that utah?

With modern CNC machinery it is exceedingly easy to mirro image a program and produce a LH action.

You would think FN acquired the tooling etc. from Winchester in the acquisition. All they should have to do is make a run.

But the manufacturing is not the only issue. First, Kimber has said that they will not make an LH until they have excess production capacity. I think they will sell enough rh 84Ls that they will be backordered for a long time. FN seems interested in large production runs rather than niche stuff. It is a problem to have items in your catalog but not available--that creates a minimum for for the production #s. Certainly odd chamberings do not qualify.

I just can't tell you the last time a factory made an LH gun I was interested in, but it doesn't cause me a moments heartburn. I just build what I want. Next up? probably a 416 Ruger on a Win 70.

Was searching for some old posts of mine and happened to run across my classified ad for a NIB left hand Model 70 LT .30-06.

Sold it because I already have another fine left hand LT in '06, plus a LH stainless .30-06 from their custom shop.

Stupid, stupid, stupid! Now I'm thinking that even though it's a long action it would make a nice FW 7X57 or maybe a .25-06.

My guess would be that the new Winchester will come out with a LH before Kimber. The new Kimber has been lying about LH rifles since they first reorganized. I called them when they first opened back up, and they said they would be producing LH models in the first year. We al know how that worked out.

I would definitely buy a LH Montana. But I am not looking for it to happen. Especially in today's market place. Tom.

I will definitely hang on to my left hand Winchester M70 "Safari Express" in .375H&H and Winchester M70 "Classic Sporter" in .30/06!
