Ahh, something people don't have to argue over... nice looking firearms.

Winchester push feed...still shoots great. I had that same rifle many years ago (mfg in 1968); bought it from a buddy who's family owned a local hardware store (Globe Hardware). Sadly the rifle, the store, and my buddy are all gone now. That is one rifle I would truly love to have back.

Husqvarna, a Mdl 640 I am told. Well made old rifle with FN action. It was a used import from Sweden and "Sven" had shortened the stock (thought those Swedes were long and tall). I put the longest recoil pad I could find on it to get the LOP back where it would fit me better.

Never learned to post pictures, but have a 1917 Enfield sporteriezed that my dad gave me when I was Shayne's age. Shot my first deer with it that year. Wouldnt sell it for anything, even though there are rifles I use more these days. The '06 will certainly do anything a person asks it to.

Here are my two; Remington M760 from the mid-70s and a Winchester made 1917 Enfield circa July 1918. Grandpa cut down the black walnut tree that made the stock but the barreled action and bolt are original. The group (three shots) was from last year checking the zero on the pump. I'd say it really likes H-4350 and 165gr Hornadys! The Enfield likes that load as well but not quite as much. I did find out though today that it loves Ramshot Big Game and 150 Hornadys! High Brass, show us all of that Enfield and show us how it shoots as well. That's an awesome group you got with the 760, BTW.

I don't have any group pics from the Enfield that I can find right now. It has shot 165gr Hornady ILs and IMR 4831 and 150gr Hornady ILs and Big Game really well. Here's the only other pic I have of the rifle.

Shameless,
Thanks for the compliment. It was my Grandfather's so it'll never see a pawn shop, not while I'm above ground anyway.
