Family is gathered this weekend for burial of my mother......not a surprise (she was 75 and sick) and a good time had by all.

Get to see many we haven't see for a while and visit and tell stories from the past. My yankee wife is meeting many of the family for the first time.

Gathered at my house last night after the veiwing of the body and one of my "other brothers" (not actually family, but as close as you can get) brought a bottle of 30 year old single malt scotch (Lagavulin) that we managed to wound terribly.

A very good night.....all things concidered.

after a while, you get tired of only getting together during funerals, and start having family reunions.

condolences on the loss of your mother. lost mine this last spring, she was 93 and had lived in a nursing home for the last 4+ years. she hated that, and hated everyone who had come to take care of her for the last few years of her life.

glad everyone had a good night. try Aberlour next time. still have a bottle of Lagavulin i can't stomach, and i can stomach darn near anything. just personal tastes...

sorry for your loss amigo. glad you got to connect with others in the clan.

Sorry about your Mom passing away.

I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Thanks for the sympathy.....but if you'd have seen her in the last month, you'd not be so sorry about putting and end to things.

Hey, its natural to miss them, but I totally understand the thing about its past time....

I found myself crying but they were just good memory tears at my Aunt's funeral a while back.... She was well due that trip and we were glad for her that her calling came.

Still we have prayers for the family. And it really should be congrats too!
