Dave, glad to hear your daughter is alright. She must have had her seat belt and shoulder harness on or it would have been much worse.

Well some of you know about my restoration of a 65 mustang that my daughter recently totaled. grin

it's ok, I can smile because she is ok.

She is still with us and that truly is all I care about but she needed some wheels with her mustang.... on the shelf.

So, I paid some attention to the 77 F150 at home that she helped me do a bunch of mechanical work on last summer.

I decided to fix the floors in the old truck.

There were other tools involved such as grinder with cutting wheel and an air hammer/chissle.

grinDave, mebbe you oughta give serious consideration to a restoration project on an M48A5 tank grin The 105mm M68 cannon would prove useful for removing road blockages (trucks and cars) and annoying drivers grin

We're all pretty beat up inside Paul. It's a tough day ay work answering all the questions.

The sight of the midnight blue mustang cruising around our comunity was quite popular, hard to miss. So the accident didn't exactly blend in as just another fender bender.

We're so lucky, but at the same time I just feel kind of beat up inside, defeated.

It'll pass.

Yeah, I completely understand that Dave.

Loving, nurturing & keeping the family safe is a hell of a responsibility for us parents to bare. Having said that, I'm betting that you & Pam, like Deb & I, would not change the way you attend to same, so that tells me you "guys" are doing it right !

Definitely not defeated, that's just the adrenaline let down after the fight !

Chin up & back at it, brother.

Paul.

Northern Dave,
My father also purchased a nice plot of hunting land and it has been really fun trying to add modern convenience and functionality to our 20x30 cabin. Not having electricity or running water adds something to our time there. I did not read all of the posts but thought i could add this about a toilet. For an everyday toilet without having running water my father harnessed the water from an Indian spring that runs next to our cabin. By catching come of the water in a 4 inch flexible drainage hose that runs down a hill to the cabin. At the end of the PVC there is a plastic piece that narrows the 4 inch PVC and allows a normal garden hose to be attached. The garden hose then go through a splitter where the water can be sent to two garden hoses. We have one connected to the kitchen sink and one connected to the toilet. It doesnt give a ton of pressure but enough for the toilet to fill every 10 mins or about a gallon of water out the sink every 3-4 mins depending on last rain. For the toilet, my dad took a standard car gas tank and drilled about 20-1 inch holes in it and buried it a few feet under to use as a septic tank. I can get the exact details for anyone interested but it works great! a working toilet is a must have to get most women to fully enjoy the outdoors. we have been using the toilet for about for years and have had no problems. A neighbor that help install has been using the same set up for twice as long. When the spring isnt running you must fill the back of the toilet manually tho. we have a 250 gallon tub that is usually filled from the spring that we use in that situation.

Dave , spent the last few days typing and deleting because it never sounded right.
Guess I just wanted to say that I'm glad someone was watching out for Weezy that nite.
Someone has a sig line to the effect of " the most important things are not things" That about sums it up very well.
Hope weezys bumps are healing up quick , and you and Pams hearts are starting to get back into a normal rhythm .
