Was wondering what brand of maps you guys use ( not software). And where to get them?

I download absolutely everything I need from the web for free. Surf for DRG = topographic maps, DEM's = 3d elevation images, NAIP images = 1/2 meter resolution aerial color images. The issue for most would be printing them if one uses paper. I do most of my map reading on the screen and then input desired coordinates into a GPS unit.

The above abbreviations + Oregon + download + free will usually guide one to a site. The BLM and USF don't seem to have their maps online yet. They are good for determining ownership and available from most regional offices.

Here's a link for Oregon stuff. Oregon Maps

One needs a map viewer that can typically also be downloaded for free. I use one called Global Mapper.

I've used a website called Mytopo.com You can get custom printed topo maps and aerial photos of the area you are hunting. In the past, i've had to cut & tape 2 USGS maps together to cover the area we might be hunting. On this website, you customize the map as far as coverage & scale. Also, with the aerial photos, you can get a pretty good idea of the vegetation present. They are quick with delivery and I think reasonably priced.

Ditto on MyTopo.com. I've used their custom maps on a couple of Montana elk hunts with complete satisfaction. That comes from a guy that has spent literally hundreds of dollars on fancy maps and aerial photographs of his hunting areas. Heck, I used to live near the Western Regional Headquaters for USGS and have spent alot of time and money there.
With MyTopo, I can get just what I want and the latest up to date information, including vegetation types, on my area of interest, unlike most USGS maps. The only thing I can't get are use regulation and road closure info. That I get from either USFS or BLM maps. E

Another one for Mytopo.com . It is where I get all of mine. Online the quality looks so so, but when they arrive you'll be impressed. They also have a free side that you can use for random exploring. I use the free side when I'm scouting for new local areas for predators.
