"Will fire with Magazine remove" marked on Slide

100 % sure it is not an FBI issue gun. All the FBI guns have a black trigger, hammer and a two dot stamps right over where the serial number is on the frame indicating that they have had two upgrades, yours has the dots.

The Kentucky State Police used them for a long time and just sold most of them off in the last couple years, that would be my guess.

Nope KSP used the 1076. There were approximately 1200 Model 1076 Kentucky State Police Contract pistols released for sale when the KSP switched brands in 2002-2003. KSP Troopers got first dibs and those left over went on the public market. most had the KSP logo on them, but some did not. Spence

spence is right. We used the 1076. Wife and I have the ones we carried out in the safe. This particular one isn't a KSP model, because ours had a magazine safety.

These are fine pistols though, and in my opinion, the smith and wessons were the best platform for the 10MM.
