I have posted before that I am looking for a new bow. Long axle length because I shoot fingers. I recently met a bow dealer that is clearing inventory, trying anyway. He has a 2008 HCA Supreme Pro, never sold, still is new in box. Said he is considering selling it for $500, down from the original $800 price. I know about the customer service problems with the company, but they are under new management. Plus, at the discounted price, it might make sense. Would a bow develop any problems for sitting around for 2 years? Is it worth it?

No problems should be caused by not using it. I've never Shot a High Country, but I'd think 500 is still high for a 2 year old bow (A lot has changed in 2 years), especially since HCA is not one of the BIG 4 (Hoyt, Bowtech, Mathews, PSE). I'd offer the dude $400 for it, and see what happens... obviously it hasn't gone anywhere in the last 2 to 2 1/2 years.

Im with TysonT on offering $400 .I had a 08 and still have a 09 Supreme pro that I shoot with fingers.My only gripe is the draw cycle on the Supremes,theres a rather harsh roll over into the valley,managable but harsh.Otherwise they are a fine bow or i wouldnt have bought 2 of them.I use the 09 as a back up for my 2010 Athens Exceed 300.Go to athens web sight to see if theres a dealer near you.The drawcycle is so damm smooth,very finger frindly 37"ata bow IMO. I sold my 08 for $300 with a just broken in repacement string and harness FYI.
