Was down fondling guns the other day and saw the new 700 CDL. So naturally I had to fondle it. I havnt ever had a Remington screem out at me like that before. The one I was fondling was in a .270. I got to thinking about how nice one would be in .223. Called up the gun shop to see what it would cost and was told that the only CDL in l223 that they made was in left hand. Is this true. It doesnt make any sense to me

I've got one of these on order in 35 Whelen. Can't wait 'till in gets here!
This is one of the best looking rifles Remington produces.

I couldn't believe it either! I'm finally in the market for a new .223 and the CDL was a top contender, until I went to their web site.
I think it's a marketing ploy to get us right handers to look deeper into their wares and consider some of their specialty rifles. They give us 6 options for a .223, while our southpaw freinds only get 2.
I might consider the SPS version, but I wanna put my hands on one first....BT53

I was also looking for a 700 CDL in .223 and was told that they didn't make them. I checked their catalog and they don't. So I settled for the 700 BDL in .223. I was told today at the gun store that the BDL will be discontinued after this year. End of an era I guess!

Can't go wrong with a BDL in .223.
Same size as their .308,
22-inch barrel instead of some huge tube,
good iron sights so you don't need to spend more money on a scope...

... a great companion to the larger centerfire BDLs, and accurate enough for any varmint work that the .223 can accomplish.
