I thought you said it helps get other things off your mind. it didn't work for me, because now I'm picturing forky toes humming the song. I'm screwed I should just go home, drink a few beers and watch the outdoor channel.

We used to lay a can, a beer can down next to his track for size comparison and his track was the same size as a beer can laying on it's side.
Now his track is bigger than a beer can laying on it's side.
Leave him some beer to fatten him up. It worked for me. If you leave him enough beer the weekend before opener, he'll stick around maybe juuusssst long enough. and by long enough I meant until black powder season.

Isn't baiting illegal in MN? Nice pics of the family BTW.

Chickenbuck needs some game cams up there we really need to get a good luck at this critter, especially besides a pile of mashed potatoes, snow peas, and a nice chiante'.

It is if you're good at it. I'd say I'm a master, is there a reward for being a master baiter? Nice pics of the family BTW. Thanks.

I have one crappy game cam out there, I should set it up right on the driveway. Not a bad idea Dave! If they weren't so dang expensive it would be nice to have about 20 game cams to watch different areas and help pattern the deer. I have one out too. Scheels had a bunch of Hunten Outdoor 3.0 mp IR cams for $50.00 while supplies last. I bought one just to see how it worked. It took some pretty decent pictures. Trigger speed is a little slow but for $50.00 what the heck. I went back to the store with a $100.00 gift certificate that I got for Christmas last year to get a couple more and they were all gone. Now I'm doing some research on the other lower priced cams to see which get the best reveiws before I buy any more. Speaking of which. The expensive Cuddebacks sure are getting hammered in the review dept this year. So, all the trees on the way to camp off the main road are cut down now? You will have a sanctuary! Tzone - The game looked like fun. Did you just buy the ticket for the pre-season game or did it come as a package with a regular season game?

Jim, they are thinning the trees as you turn off the forest road onto the camp access trail. (those straight row planted pines)
Remember where we saw that huge bodied deer that one night in the headlights during black powder season? That's where they are thinning some trees.
Then on the way in to cam about half ways in is where they start clear cut logging and it goes right in pretty much up to our gate.
You guys won't believe how it's changed! Wide open where you used to have to thread a truck through that skinny trail with heavy timber on both sides.
Something clever here.

Hey Dave I got this for the shack if you want it. It come out of our old 5th wheel camper. The guy we gave it to is making it into a trailer because it is pretty much too far gone. 3 of the grates for the cooktop are missing but I'm sure you could rig up something. If you don't want it that is ok. Just let me know.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Tzone -
The game looked like fun. Did you just buy the ticket for the pre-season game or did it come as a package with a regular season game?
We got the tickets from Ma's office fer nuthin'. I wouldn't have paid for a pre-season game. The tix would have been $75 otherwise, so 3 bills for a family of four to see pre season fb. I tried to get tix to the Vikes/Packers but would have had to buy a pre season package, which is why we probably go to go, someone didn't want to. I have tickets to the Vikes/Giants game in Dec tho. So, all the trees on the way to camp off the main road are cut down now? You will have a sanctuary! Hopefully not one eveyone can see from the road, you'll have guys stacked up in there.

When you say "you girls can make pies" you mean Alyssa and Taylor right. I volunteer to be the taste tester. I tested quite a few you made last year...ok I tried all at least 3 times. :whilstle:

I have vacuum sealed blue berries already premeasured for making pies. and I have some frozen chickens that have a seat reserved for the trip up to chickenbuck. did they improve the road at all? I don't think I'll take the pimpala all the way in again had to replace some body panel rivets after last trip
