I was watching the Outdoor Channel tonight and saw this. And to think we spend all our time and money trying to get our rifles to do this <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Link Link 2

Wonder how long it would stay on the barrel? What would zero degrees do to the rubber? Could turn a dream hunt bad real quick. Barrel tuners are not new to the shooting world. Bench rest uses them in 22LR. Talk is they are considering them for regular bench rest. Boss system is the same principal.Rick.

"Designed and manufactured with our proprietary NAVCOM (Noise and Vibration Control Material), and engineered for optimum performance utilizing Sims Vibration Laboratorys DTMS (Decay Time Modification System)."
Yeah.. I made something like it years ago, called "RUBBER" (Really Ugly Barrel Bung Enhancer Ring.) You can still buy it at hardware stores in the larger cities. Bart 185, don't beat yourself up too bad. There's a million cheap ideas waiting to be turned into marketable gimiks. Right now I'm looking into a way to mount sandbag rests onto a dog's back. "Man's Best Rest." Should be worth millions.

Speaking of sandbags and killing vibration..... guns should shoot better with the barrel resting on the sandbag. Maybe to different POI. Sounds like bull to me. You want less vibration get a barrel that looks like a drive shaft.
What does it mean when the primers fall out of the case?

I'll bet if you slide the De-Resonator up and down your barrel enuff times it will do two things: (1) make your barrel longer and more rigid and (2) incease your muzzle velocity.

There are tons of "barrel deresonators around". Some match shooters cannot compete without them. EVERYONE in the match uses one. And many make their own at home.
Just another gimmick to get into your wallet. But they do work.

Take one hockey puck, drill a hole, slide on barrel......sounds funny but there is no doubt "barrel tuners" really work.......Benchrest has finally allowed them into centerfire competition this year.
Afew years ago there was a unit that had a magnet on it. You attached it to your barrel and moved it around to find the sweet spot.........didn't stick too well to 416 stainless.

One way to find out if that barrel gadget works is to put it on a Mini-14.... if the groups improve even just a little it's a keeper.
