Actually I think the last time I bought 300 WBY I bought Hornady fact loads and I'm pretty sure they were under $40, just last fall. I bought 2 boxes and I have almost all of them left.

I expect the timber chickens will all be in wet suits and snorkles with all the dang rain this year.

Something really nice about cleaning one up in the field and cooking one up on an open fire that just makes the day nice.

I'm in shack mode, very much looking forward to a hunting camp weekend.

Might put my crappy old game cam out, do a little mowing around camp, put out some salt & mineral blocks, work on stands...

And relax a whole bunch grin

Maybe take the boys on an atv ride too.

I think this was a good year for broods, I know the prairie chickens down here did well, I would think the grouse would follow suit.

I'm thinkin about a fall prairie dog hunt in south dakota too, I need to get out and do some shootin

Maybe you boys might be interested in thinning out some yodel pups after deer season.

One of the landowners down here is buried in them and they are taking a big chunk out of his lambs.

Hoping to stay healthy after deer season to put a whack on some.

Do you think all the rain we had will hurt the pop. of the grouse?

Heck yes. I've never shot one. I need one for my "Coyote swatting a grouse" mount that I want.
