I have been offered a great deal on a custom switch barrel rifle built on an RPA action/trigger with a Robertson stock,RKS barrel in 6.5x47L,and a McPhee barrel in 308win.The rifle was built by one of the better known builders of competition rifles in Canada, and is yet unfired.
I am familiar with the barrel and stock makers, but I know nothing of RPA products. As such,I am looking for input on the RPA actions and triggers.

The RPA actions I have worked with were functionally perfect. That is to say, they were measurably straight, square, and concentric. I found nothing objectionable about the actions. The triggers which were on the actions were not RPA so I can't comment on the trigger (one was a Jackson, the other a Canjar). I think the RPA actions are equal to any others I have barreled (Stolle, Hall, Barnard, Stiller, Bat, PGW, and a host of others) and better than most. Good stuff. GD

RPA Quadlocks are big beefy four lug actions - very popular for Palma and/or Fullbore TR here in the states. They also made a smaller version, 2 lug I believe, that fit into Remington pattern stocks and took Remington pattern triggers (aka Jewell). Again, very good actions, but with the rise of the Euro vs. the USD a few years ago, not very popular relative to some of the Remington clones from Stiller, Borden, etc.
