You'll like the Escape Stan. My mom's had one since o4 I think. No problems at all, and is going to get another Escape when it's time.

I know some of you have followed Cole's story closely and I thought I would post an update. He has been done with chemo for a little over a month and his last scan was great. Apart from his bald little head, you couldnt tell him from other kids. Here is a pic ( a fantastic pic that my wife took if you ask me! a great action shot) of Cole and his cousin Jake riding the tube a few weeks ago. Oh, and Jake's mohawk was a temp thing as he got exposed to lice at daycare, so they shaved his head and gave him a mohawk for the weekend. Dont these kids look like they are having ....uh....fun? eek Cole is obviously the one on the right.

Thanks for the pic of Cole BM. Great to see the little guy being able to just be a kid again.

Heading up to camp Thursday to help my buddy with his bear hunt. I've already been asked to trim the Tag Alders back from the road into camp. It's a never ending task. mad

we did some wood pile moving.

Then some sand point action. Here's a 2' sand point with a 6' chunk on pipe on it.

and that's how far we got before we hit a rock. probably 11 ft.

We could draw a little bit of water on Saturday and Sunday but it was really hard pulling the water, You could pump up a good strong vacuum with the hand pump then you could tape the handle down & let it draw suction for like 15 minutes and it whould pull up enough water for one pump stroke.

It's getting better and I'll get to those details in a minute. first some more photos ov various activities.

Me & RWS's supper Sat night, it was great! (elk)

Pancakes Sunday morning. We set a new record for most blueberries in a pancake.

[Linked Image]

Some of the logging equipment in the area.

They completely destroyed out road by the way and they took logs out full length, no slasher so there was no firewood left over. Destroyed the road and didn't leave a stick of firewood for us, just great. crazy

The new wood pile location.

Today we went back out with a small air tank (slave tank) that I filled at home with about 125PSI. I drilled a hole in the pounding cap and used a rubber tipped blow gun off the slave tank and we blew pressure down the pipe to the sand point. Then we drew water up the pipe with the pump and blew it back down one more time.

We were out of air after 2 blasts but it was enough so we could now draw some better water. It's still very hard pumping but it will fill the pitcher pump in about 40 seconds with the handle held down pulling vacuum.

big improvement over the 15 minutes it took previous to blowing it out twice.

We'll bring a gas engine air compressor out this week and blow it out many more times until we have a cavity washed out down by the sand point and then we'll have it made.

Maybe you could talk to one of the loggers and have them fix your road up a little for ya... Or you could take a few of those wheels off the equipment. smile

My arms hurt so bad, that damn home made pounder deal must weigh around 40 pounds. Clank, clank, clank, clank...

Jeeze my hands hurt too.

But once we blow it out a few more times we'll have a nice little well for all of our cleaning water.

If I get it to draw really nice I'll move the pump inside the cabin in the kitchen.

I can still see them, but I know what you mean, its happened to me before.

lots of work indeed! I'm curious as to what it all looks like, do you think it will help or hurt the deer hunting this fall?
