Does anyone make a decent entry/mid-level scope with a mil dot reticle? I haven't seen anything in a few searches in that price range. I want something that I could use for holdover in the wind.

Thanks,
QD

Take a look at the Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14 with the mil-dot reticle.

I have used several with good results and I currently have one on a heavy barrel .30/06 that works very well.

you should be able to get one for just 300.00 new.

Midway has an exclusive Weaver in that price range (when it is on sale). It is a 3-10x with mil turrets too. Its gotten good reviews on snipershide.

If you can like a fixed 10X, look at the Bushnell 3200 10X, and SWFA's 10X Super Sniper rear-parallax model.

Will second the opinion for the SWFA SS10X42 for $299.95 plus shipping. It is a fixed 10X with mil-dots, target turrets and adjustable parallax. Optics are very good. Ive been using mine for .22 silhouette out to 200 yards, and a shifting 10 to 15mph wind will definitely blow a .22 LR bullet off course at 200! But those mildots are quite effective for compensating to get hits at that range. I have been very satisfied with mine.

It is a 30mm scope so you would have to get the larger rings if that is an issue.

There's a fixed 6X option now too, with the Super Sniper.

I have the Bushnell 3200 10x and I like it. It is no frills and the thing that I like about it is it tracks true. I usually dial for elevation and use the mils to hold off for windage. For hunting I would take a good look at the SS 6x. I think it would be a great option. Just my two cents.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Does anyone know anything about Mueller scopes? Are they any good?
