We're seeing some tracks. Lots of babies out there.
Seen some big tracks too mut I haven't been out there often enough. Seems I always go out after a heavy rain so the tracks are washed out except for the really fresh ones. Baby tracks is a good sign really, since they've been shooting so many does up that way I take it as a positive sign. thats good to hear!
the big tracks that is, not the babies, I don't want to open that can of worms, and no I'm not shooting bambi this year Surrrrre. Just funnin ya man! I've shot my fair share of bambi's. My first bow kill in 99, man I'd be surprised if that thing weighed 60 pounds. Sometimes you just get excited, I do anyway. I try not to say "i'm not shooting anything less than an 8", because sometimes I get rilled up on a spiker or a doe.

Perfect.
Yeah I think we'll make a family weekend out of the youth hunt which runs into the early doe hunt(coincides).
I'll play camp cook and outfitter/guide for who ever wants to hunt. I'm sure Pam will want to hunt, she can shoot a doe (antlerless) and the 2 older kids qualify to shoot buck or doe.
Something clever here.

When is the youth hunt?
I could come up and give you hand maybe? Camp stuff while you're out with a kid or take a kid, I don't care.

I think I'm going to look at game cam's today. We have lots of tracks on the backside of our property. We have seen the does and fawns many times. But there are some bigger tracks, I want to see what it is. We planted food plots this year so they have really been traveling between our place and the neighbors.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Dave ya get the trail cam out? I am dying to see forky toes. Thinking about running a board for who gets him I have a camera out but it's a POS. I don't trust it to take any pics. I messed with it for a half an hour to get it to power up. then we couldn't get it to trigger. We finally got it to trigger but then we figured out we had a bad SD card in it So, now it's set up with no SD card so it I want to read the pics from it I have to take the cam home and hook it to my computer to read the internal memory. Dusty is talking about getting a real camera, a new Bushnel trophy cam. The new 8MP unit with video capability. It will be nice to have a dependable cam out there for once. We checked last weekend by Dusty's stand and he has a regular deer highway running past his stand too. Not kidding, it's impressive. Dave,my buddy just bought a Bushnel (Don't know the model) and he's been having problems with it. He contacted Bushnel and they told him they'd been having issues, but most of the time it's a bad SD card. Told my buddy to try a different SD card and if that didn't fix the problem to return the unit to them. The SD card he was using was a new one.

Muffy, there's a web site that reviews trail cameras see if you can find it. Might save you a lot of money and headaches.

Thinking this weekend gonna move the boys big box stand.
Any thoughts on insualting it, I was considering just using a spray on foam rather then mess around with pink stuff, or foam board. It is built out of 2x2's for the frame, and the floor is covered with an old carpet so the feet dont get cold.
Roof is covered with old rubberized conveyor belts.
Any thoughts on the spray foam? How well does it work, etc.

Spray foam is expensive.
It works great, it actually adds strength since it adheres and it seals things up tighter than you could do with polystyrene sheets (spelling?)
But it's expensive.
How warm does it have to be? or how tight?

Not really either way, I am leaning more toward just sealing the joints with the spray foam. I usually have the big sunflower and 20 lb. tank in there but she gets real warm real fast. I was looking more to just trying to keep the heat in longer.
This is to make the boys and the landowner comfortable for when they sit.

oh I see, so just using expanding foam like "great stuff" in the corners and for gaps etc?
We did that with Pam's stand and it worked really good.
