PWM & I made a run to camp yesterday afternoon to put an SD card in the trail camera and we also blew out the sand point a couple more times. It got a little better but I think I need a rotary pump and a water tank so I can pump water down the pipe to really open up a pocket around the sand point.

We were very surprised to see that everything was very wet out there. We were just out there on Monday and it was dry, it looks like the area got hit with about 3" of rain as recently as... yesterday morning?

we got a real good shot of rain all monday eve/night that might have made its way there. makes it easier to determine the freshness of tracks. I got the dates for the refuge youth/disabled hunt and its in a week and a half! I'm really looking forward to it, especially since I know where there is a 130" + buck living on the refuge. I'd love to see a kid who for one day can feel like Davy Crockett and not think about being stuck in a wheelchair

Ryan that is awesome. After the hunt I want to hear stories. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

we do. They seem to work just fine.

We don't all use them but we've shot plenty of deer with them, I'm pretty sure my boy shot his elk with a 30-06 fusion last OCT. 165 gr.

deader than heck.

Well, if the work for an Elk, they dang sure should work for a whitetail right?

I'm going to try some in my .280 Rem.

We've used them on deer in 30-06, 243 & .308

They shoot well for us and they hold together as good or better than a core lokt.

Better than the old blue box feds.

That's good to know, cuz I was going to buy a box of blue box feds. They were the same price at the shop I was at, so that's a no brainer anyway.

I shot some fusions out of my .308 M7 I had a while ago but never shot anything but targets with them. They were real accurate.

I've seen cup & core blue box stuff come apart bad, they always shot nice for me But I've seen the lead core shed it's jacket cleanly and completely several times before.

Which kind of sucks, peddles opened up real nice & a nearly complete jacket that penetrated very shallow & lost it's lead core like it was a lead ball in a patch.

Haven't seen that yet with the fusion.

I got a game cam today. I got a Moultrie D-55IR. 5 megapixels, 50 foot infared flash, day video clips. Shows time, date, temp, & moon phase. I also got a free mineral bucket with it. Now I just have to figure out how to run it, it is my first one. smile

Hi Tom,

We're running the 95gr in the wife & sons shared .243 & I'm shooting the 165gr in my .308.

No complaints from us. Sort of a middle road option between C&C & the premiums.

Good prices too !!

You'll do fine with them.

Paul.

My brother in law gets .75" at 100 with his Remington M7 in .308 and fusions. He's only shot paper too though, he hunts in shotgun country. I knew accuracy wouldn't be the issue, I was courious about the performance.

I'm thinking of getting some for the muzzy loadder too. They were pricey though. $15 for 16 bullet/sabots.
