Picked some Fusions up for the boys .243 and plan to see how they match up to the reloads.

Just walked out of the shop to go to the house to put my Jersey on for the game. There were 3 deer standing in our driveway 30 yards from the shop. A doe and 2 fawns.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

This is the first I've seen of it. It was a pack of bullets and sabots.

Paul, that's what we run in our .243's and in my M88 .308 too.
Boy them 95 gr shoot wonderful in weezy's M77 .243. Tight! Yeah mate, same in Deb / Doug's Savage. Minute of deer for them & better than MOA for me shooting off a pack & over the hood of the truck ! Good results in the "little" gun last season, so I've switched to them this year for my Sav 99 .308, too. As I said above, I think they are a good "gap breecher" between C&C & the premiums. Like the price better too. Say $20 here vs. premiums at $45. Paul.

Very wet up here too. I got a pair of Danner Acadia's in the mail today. Another member posted in general hunting about a sale, I checked it out and it was a great deal. $70 less than cabellas! Uninsulated lace to toe goretex. Basic black service boot style with vibram lug sole, stitch down leather made in USA tith the nylon/leather uppers kind of "jungle boot" style. These things are awesome! I love em!! Should last many years. Man I've needed a new pair of boots for quite a while, happy feet! Woo!

Sweet Dave. I was quite disappointed today when I was looking at boots. Every one was made in China. PMO. I have my USA made Red Wings, but they're steel toe. I'd like a nice leather work boot type for general messin around. I picked up a box of the Fed. Fusions today. .280 Rem, 140 grain. They feel like deer whackers. I got a little action on a job today too. Woot woot! No interview yet, but they called and asked for an updated resume. Supposed to hear something by Tuesday or Wednesday. Best part is.... 1/2 mile from the house.

I usually shoot a Remington Model Seven in .308.For about 10 years I have been using the Hornady "Light Magnum" 165 grain spire point boat tail with good success. Leaves are just starting to turn here.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

I got it a month of so ago. Big stretch for me... Model 7600. Don't know why but they're my favorite gun. I shot some 150's for it the weekend I got it. Shot just at an 1" at a hundred.

Our leaves are just barely turned here too Stan.
I was on the deck tonight cleaning the .280 and I could hear crunching in the woods. I turn and look and there is a set of legs marching through. Instantly went into preadator mode. Dropped to a knee, hushed the kids... it just took over. It was a doe and a fawn.
25 minutes later, I'm cleaning the black powder and some more crunching... out pops a fawn. She starts licking the mineral lick I have in the yard about 30 feet from me. Then another fawn. Mama made an appearance but stayed in the brush. This was a different set of deer too. They came from the north, and the others came from the south.
I need that job so I can get a trail cam.

I was talking to my dad eariler tonight. He's been having trouble with his shoulder, so he though. Can't lift his right arm much past 1/2 way to his shoulder. He got an MRI today and they found he tore the bicep off his arm. Docs are going to try surgery, but said there is a chance it can't be fixed.
