We shoot RE age class, not inches... hard to answer your question but too many folks get tied up with a tape measure. Takes some of the fun out of it IMHO.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

For Sitka Blacktail.. A 90-100" 4x4 is a "good buck". 100+ B&C awards. 108+ is All Time. 115ish+ is a Masher.

Most guys in my area kill Fork horns. A handful are trophy hunters and knock down some big bucks. I'd say I see very few true 100+ bucks a year.

Tough to say; we have large bodied deer but generally new England does not have the rich soils of the midwest,so antler growth does not get truly exceptional....If you can kill a 140 class buck here in New England you are doing really well.Plenty exist, and a good many much larger, but they are very tough to get.

The state record NH "typical" was killed 40 minutes from where I'm sitting;he grossed 201 and netted pretty close to that....I have never seen any that large myself.

There are many 140-150" bucks taken here each year. As mentioned previously, an average is probably closer to 120". I have taken one that is 135" and this one from 2008 gross scored 161", net 153". I have seen many in this 160+ class, but the canyons I hunt prevent you from getting close most of the time.

Northern Idaho. Most of my hunting is in large canyons with crop fields on top.
