I have a TC Renegade in 50 cal cap lock. I put a new williams peep sight on the rear and wanted to take off the old rear sight. I did not "see" how it could be done. Help!
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

blammer, I looked at my renegade, it lookes like you have to remove the screw on top of the sight, (if your old sight is the issued Williams Hunter) then it should flip forward, underneath there should be another screw holding it on to the barrel. it certainly isnt a dovetail mount, so it has to be screwed on...good luck gutpile

Ok, I did it, it was not easy but here is what it took.
HOW to take off the rear sight:
take brl off rifle, have wife hold it (the brl) while you take a punch and punch out the hinge pin holding the ramp for UP/DOWN elevation. Don't worry at this point nothing will go flying away. Next take a screw driver and undo the elevation screw until it comes out. At that point slide the front sight piece towards the rear of the brl. NOW be careful there is a small spring (not under tension now) that you don't want to drop. Now you can see the two screws that hold the front sight to the brl. Unscrew them. TAAA DAAA!
I had some extra filler screws that I put in the screw holes to keep the dirt out and give the brl a smooth look. What a pain. Hope I won't have to put it back together.

Yep, had purchase a Williams Peep sight, that I mounted to the rear tang, using the most rearward tang screw that held it to the wood. I just put it on, took a punch and pinged a starter drill point where I needed the next screw. (forward most screw on sight)DRilled a hole just a few thousands smaller than the threads on the hex nut and screwed it in. Solid as rock. Love them peeps!
