I have a couple of questions.

First off, can somebody date this 1894C 210798##

I have been doing a little reading, I have read that these 1894s have a jamming problem, more so with .38 than .357.

My rifle says .357, but does not mention .38 on the barrel, do you think I'll have any problems with .38s?

I keep reading I should replace the semi-buckhorn with a peep sight, why is this, do the buckhorns tend to move out of adjustment?

Thanks for the help

DOM is 1979

I have owned many, and all would digest 38 special ammo just fine. My good friend recently owned one that would not though. I would suggest using 357 brass loaded down to 38 levels for plinking though. The 38s tend to leave a soot ring in the chamber that can be problematic to clean and can cause difficulty chambering 357 rounds after time.

You can get much better accuracy with a reciever mounted sight like the Williams and a finer front sight. A small trim scope can improve the accuracy of your shooting as well.
