Things to do this weekend....

I can think of one thing, we should add more steps on all of the stand ladders. makes it much nicer to climb into the stands.

Gas lights, we could get the gas lights hooked up because Dusty bought copper tubing and fittings. I dropped the stuff off at camp on Sunday.

Does anybody that's coming up this weekend have a laptop with an SD card reader or any way to read SD cards from these cameras out in the woods?

I think I will get the tractor back out to camp and work on the trail some.

RWS & I have talked about doing a simple wood shed with log poles and pole barn spikes.

Grouse hunting of course...

Maybe some more sand point work is in order..

Any other ideas??

Tom, we haven't put that stand up. We hauled it out there, it's by the cabin.

Yep, things are ramping up in the north woods too. Double ladder & 2 single ladder stands arrived yesterday.

Deb & Doug shot 2/4 Ruffies on a short walk on Saturday afternoon & after I returned from my fly-in moose camp set up, for a local outfitter, we ventured out on Sunday evening & got 5 more.

Was a good trip, worked hard, fished hard & played hard.

I just ordered Pam a new trail camera. That will make it all better. grin

Not good Dave. No telling where she'll set it up and catch you doing all kinds of stuff. grin

Pretty good list.

Do I need to bring up any tools? hang some stands, cut some trails. But that is a good list already.

Wood shed is a good idea. maybe 3 sides and a top? cover the open side with plastic?

Yeah 3 sides and a top is all we were thinking. probably even leave the one side open for air movement?

I was thinkin of getting a tripod stand for some of those brushy clearings that don't offer a good stand location, think it would be a good idea dave?

my laptop reads SD cards, I'll bring it up there saturday. I also have a "electronic picture frame" that reads SD cards and allows you to flip through them, it runs off batteries, they are super slick. I'll bring it up there too

oh yeah bring em both. I'm very curious to see if that picture frame thing will read the format of the images on the cards. That might be a cheap way to read cards out there.

Ryan, as far as tripod stand. Yeah I think they could work well in the brush and I think they could work really well in the swamp too.

We'd likely have to support the legs with some logs or something but I think it would work really good in the tamarack/alder swamp.

Dave do you need me to bring that generator for anything again?

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

I don't think so, but I could ask around.

i just may do that now. We were talking its been a while since we visited out there. We may be doing some work at our camp but at beer thirty we'll be around. we got one wind damaged stand we stood up last weekend, in need of major repairs. that might be a project for us this weekend too. Always fun to be had at chickenbuck though!!!
