There are so many ways to go with this.... I think I'll just leave it. grin

I totally read this wrong. I thought you said "Just trying to get my [bleep] lined up."

Sorry for your loss and know it's not easy and takes some healing. I just lost my dad at 92 on July 13. Not many days go by that I almost pick up the phone to call and ask pops a question and then realize he is gone.

Sorry for your loss Ryan. I was looking forward to meeting you face to face. Another time buddy.

I had Monday off for my Uncles funeral. It was the 3rd Uncle I have lost since April. This one was tough as I was much closer to him. He was one of the founding members of our old deer hunting party. All he wanted was a "set of horns" He was never able to tag a buck for some reason. I think buck fever would get the best of him. He could shoot the heck out of the spotted deer though! One time he was gutting out a fawn about the size of my black lab when another came running by. He dropped his knife, grabbed his shotgun, wheeled around and dropped that one in its tracks too. Then he say's "OH SH*T! Does that one have spots too?!" grin

My buddy just sent me this picture. He is the same one who shot the elk a few pages back. He shot it lastnight and it scored 142. He used his crossbow, I don't know if his arm was bothering him. I'm thinking it was otherwise he would have used his regular bow. Wish I could get one like that. smile

Ryan,my sincere condolences on the loss of your grand dad.
I went to a new gun club today which I recently joined to do a bit of target practice.Very nice facilities. The big rifle range goes all the way out to 300 yards.I chose one of the smaller side ranges which goes to fifty yards.I wanted to sight in the new 3X9X40 scope which I had mounted on my "Trapper" .44 magnum Handi rifle. It did great with my 240 grain handloads.A bit much scope for that short a rifle but it does really well.
Main thing was that I wanted to practice with my .44 magnum Super Redhawk.I haven't shot it in several months.I can still do almost touching shots at 50 yards and about 3" at 100 yards with it.I've been deer hunting on and off with it for two years now but no kills yet.All the shots I have gotten in the past few years are with the old faithful Remington Model Seven in .308.
I have been going to public ranges for lots of years now and had an invite to join this gun club and did.It was a good move.
I hope you guys and gals have a fine weekend at Camp Chickenbuck this weekend.Looking forward to a write up and pictures Monday.

Hey Dave. I can bring my lap top and we can load the trail cam pics off our Digital camera. As long as the SSD cards match.

I like those guns a lot. Trouble is finding one. I like the Model 100's too. I would have no problem getting one of them.

Awesome Jim, that will work great with dusty's new cam. The image format is not compatable with my digital camera. My old wild view is, I can just pull the card from the trail cam and plug it in my digital cam and review them, delete them or what ever.

Scott's new camera is the same way. (cant read them with the regular cameras)

That's gay. They probably want you to buy the image readers that most of the compaines sell now.

I am also really interested the 100 for myself for drives and such, a good friend uses one in ND and has made some remarkable shots.
