Strong winds, cool and a light mist here this morning.

The Rib River at Marathon City went over it's banks early this morning and flooded 6 homes.

wow, gone for 4 days and I had 23 pages to catch up. Skimmed most of it.

Big Drift and Tzone, I think you were asking how old a kid has to be to hunt deer in MN. I believe they passed a law last year that allowed kids aged 10 and 11 to hunt deer as long as they were in the same stand as their parent/guardian. At 12, same rules, but need firearm safety training.

Sorry to hear about your grampa Colorado. Lost mine about 15 years ago.

Sounds like a good time will be had this weekend. I am looking forward to picks of Forky Toes on Monday.

ND, this close captioned just to you: T-minus 19 days til we leave for elk hunting.....

I was in Iowa last week and just made it out ahead of the rain. That was a close call. Can you imagine being stuck in Iowa????

Beretta,

The MN DNR issued my 9 year old a deer license this year so they dont seem to object to him hunting. I hope they really pull their heads out of their rear ends and let the parents do the parenting and leave the nanny state to address other issues and the metro soccer moms.

Well, things didn't quite work out.

I'd boned out the breasts on Wednesday night & Yesterday, while I was at work, Deb decided to freeze them !!

I'll give her a go over the weekend, as tonight is the Princesses sweet 16th costume party.

Flood Update:

The Wisconsin River here in Stevens Point is supposed to crest at noon today. Biggest concern is for those living on the West and SW side of town. We're on the East side. City officals are calling this a 100 year event.

Talked with an employee at Hardees this morning and her son's house flooded a little after midnight. He's on the SW side.

The crawl space under my friends grandaughters home flooded yesterday.

Glad you're getting some much needed rain Stan. We've had more than our share though.

Had out first frost this morning.

Chickenbuck was a blast this weekend. Thanks Dave & Pam. Tzone, BP, & Rooster, it was good to see you again. But too tired to post anything else tonight. Will share pictures tomorrow. Maybe some video, might have to censor some parts for language. laugh

Oh yeah, where is White Bear?

White Bear won't be on until Monday. Red Bear is tired as hell. For some reason I didn't sleep last night. It could be that the cabin was 93* F. grin and NO I'm not kidding. She was a warm one.

I had to stop in Grand Rapids and change a tire before it blew. Seperated thread, could barely run 40 mph.

See y'all in the morning.
