Need more data.... Rifle, game to be hunted, style of hunting BUT you could just put a 2-10x Burris EuroDiamond posi Lock on it and be ready for whatever one might point a 375 at. I have several similar, love 'em on the big guns used roughly.

[Linked Image]I would recommend a Leupold 2.5-8X EER scope. That's what I use on mine.

I've got an old 2-7x Redfield on my .375 Number One. More or less happy with it.

Tried a 2.5x Leupold, but I tend to make some longer shots so the variable went back on before the bear hunt.

I use a 1.5-5x20 VX111 on my 375 Ruger.

Imo, a 1.5x5 is an excellent all around magnification for the 375s.

Can't go wrong with a 1.75X6X32 Leupold, 2.5X8X38 Leupold or my favorite 1.75X6X42 Swarovski PH.

Yes, I have a Burris signature 1.5x5 on my Model 70. Hard to think of a better combination.

I put a 1.75-6x32 Leupold VX3 on my custom Model 70. And would do it again.

If I was to do it again, I'd go with one of the 1.5-something variables. 1.5x power for close and dangerous game hunting and then the increased variables for further shots at plainsgame, elk, bears, etc.

I have a VX-I Leupold in 2-7x33. I haven't been overly pleased with the scope, but the one thing I am happy about with my setup is the QD rings. Very nice to be able to take the scope off quickly to use iron sights then be able to put the scope back on with little to no change in POI.

As a general rule I'd go with a Leupold 2.5-8X. It as the most utility .. for me. YMMV, though.

Can't imagine a hunting situation where a Leupold 2.5-8x or a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x would not be fine.

I prefer the old 3X, M8 Leupolds on my bigger bores..They arn't 1000 yard guns, but I can easily see an elk or deer well enough with a 3X at 1000, to take a shot if I was amind to but it would have to be wounded for me to do that.

For some reason most hunters think power in a scope makes you a better shot when in fact it makes no difference at all on big game..At any range you put the cross hair where it belongs and squeeeeeze the trigger. The size of the target has little to do with good shooting, in fact at say 800 yards, you will probably use more discretion with your hold with a lesser power scope.

I have yet to see an instance where scope power made any difference in practical field shooting. I do get told, emailed of instances that can be made up in ones mind, but I pretty well dismiss them as the "what if" syndrome.

The one thing about older and small (real small) obejctives is if you plan to use them for Cats in low light, they are pretty worthless and you can trust me on that one.

That's why the S&B 1.5X6X42 is so attractive

Silly Rabbit - a 375HH is not a big bore - it's a medium.

I have a 1.75-6X on mine - fits like peas and carrots.

Ray -

I have to respectfully disagree.

I'm not comfortable at 300 yards with only 3X magnification. I can't see the impact zone on what I'm shooting at well enough to have the confidence to pull the trigger.

I don't mind if someone else comes to a different answer, that may be a right answer for them, but that different answer is a wrong answer FOR ME.
