Ok, boys start spilling, this teasing thing is worse then a prom night gone bad......

Bacon cakes are when you lay the bacon out on the skillet and cook it until it is soft, not crunchy, then pour your pancake batter over them like you would with blueberry pancakes, but it's bacon. Cook until pancakes are finished, add 1/4 pound of butter, 1/2 container of syrup, and enjoy.

That sucks, nice to see deer at least. Looks like the shooters didnt get all of them.

Took my kids out grousing yesterday and kicked up a big bodied buck, couldnt see all his rack but looked good from what we could see.

Flushed 5 but took nothing home to the pot.

We cooked 3 birds yesterday at camp.

I breasted them out, rolled the meat in flower and browned the meat in butter. Then I mixed up a lipton chicken/noodle pack in a can of cream of mushroom, milk, some water and a few chicken bulion cubes. I covered the grouse meat with this noodle sauce in a foil pan, covered with foil & let it bake on the grill for about an hour & a half. Pam did a pan of taters to go with the birds and we grilled a few burgers too.

BKK is the bear klux klan.



Unlike that other bad klan, the bear klux klan is just sort of goofy, quite harmless and non hateful.

They do wear silly hats made out of bear heads, but they don't do anything mean. They just hang out around the bonfire drinking bear, laughing and telling stories.

I did see quite a few deer on my way home last night. Mille Lacs/Atkin area. Two dandy buck, and several small ones. SUV in front of me hit a fawn running full tilt across the road. Can't imagine it's alive, it flew about 20 feet into the ditch. The SUV didn't stop, so I didn't either.
