I meant the back strap....will they make it to the second weekend? I won't be up til then. I'd ask to save me a piece, but who can save that? It tastes too dang good.

We've got an Elk roast and some steaks stashed too. We eat well a camp.

Oct 16 is first rifle. that much I know. beyond that, I know not much. I tell ya what, I have been humping the hill in my backyard with my pack on and holy moly, them hills suck. The mountains aint any steeper, but they are longer and they only give you about half the oxygen up there. am reasonably happy with my conditioning right now, but I am sure when I get there I will wish I did more!
Tzoner, if'n we do well and come back with a couple bulls, I might be able to meet up with ya and pass on some wapiti.

Wow, you really are excited!  Tzoner, if'n we do well and come back with a couple bulls, I might be able to meet up with ya and pass on some wapiti. That would make me fatter and happier. It is by far the best venison I've ever had. Do you have bull tag or shooting the rubber heads?

i was wondering if someone was gonna hit that meat ball out of the park.  Bull tag Tzone. It is a limited entry unit. The outfitter has 100% success at a good opportunity at a mature bull, weather depending, so we expect to bring home something!

Take lots of pictures. I can't get enough of that country. I was only in CO once...for a week. I was in highschool. Me and a buddy went for a week of mountain biking. We got there at about 3am and crashed once we got in the condo. Opened the blinds in the morning and couldn't believe how beautiful it was.
Can't wait to get back some day.

oh yeah, I will be wearing out the camera, that is for sure. I am starting to get the fever that is fer sure.
Just got it figured out how to put a topo map into my GPS. One more thing checked off the list.

Mine has an sd card. It has a Lakemaster chip in it right now, but you can get topo's of land too.
