Thanks to all who have ordered. We'll be shipping a bunch out tomorrow from orders over the weekend.

JB;
This is yet another quick note to say how much I've been enjoying your book thus far.

As has already been mentioned, the chapter on stock fit is excellent. As a hobby gun stock tinkerer, it clarified a bunch of details that I sort of "knew" but could never have explained as well as you did.

That chapter alone was worth the price of admission for me, though I must say I enjoy your dry sense of humor as well.

Thanks again and all the best to you and yours.

Regards,
Dwayne

Most people log onto our website, www.riflesandrecipes.com, and follow the instructions. If you want to use a credit card, that's the way to go. There's also a place on the site to type in however you'd like the book to be autographed.

Or you can send a check for $23.50 to:

Deep Creek Press
PO Box 579
Townsend, MT 59644-0579

The price INCLUDES media mail shipping in the U.S., and we autograph every book. If you want something special in the autograph, just put a note in with the check.

Thanks,
John

JB, any chapters in your book about wildcats named after prime number airplanes? My old copy of Handloader is getting a bit worn.

300 Savage,

I'm saving the B-29 for my handloading book--but to placate Ingwe I'm going to write a little addendum about how it's satire, that there really isn't a gunsmith named Ned Nobody on Nowhere Lane, and Monica Lewinsky really didn't make the reamer.

I'll wait for your handloading book with bated breath, MD! Ingwe, sorry, I couldn't resist. That article is my favorite, even ahead of the O'Connor article on how to win the big hunting prize. I forget the name of that one, but O'Connor wrote in under a pseudonym, I remember.

"How J.R. Balz Won The Krautbauer Trophy" appeared in the 1968 GUN DIGEST, the author listed as Jim Ryan. It was also reprinted in THE BEST OF JACK O'CONNOR, with an introduction by O'Connor that's also entertaining.

For decades Jack O'Connor had an exclusive agreement to write only for OUTDOOR LIFE, but cheated on it a little with GUN DIGEST. Whether or not he could write under his own name or various pseudonyms (Bill Ryan, Jim Hack, etc.) apparently depended on the mood of his OL editor at the time.

Very much enjoyed it John despite your smart-ass inscription that 7x57Steve had you put in the front. Harummph, "Steve says you need all the help you can get" why that's just, just, well, in all likelihood true. blush

Thanks to my buddy Steve for getting me a copy too.

Pugs,

You are very welcome. Hope you are reading carefully. There will be a test this Saturday.

Just gave a copy to another hunting buddy, Sandy, last night for his birthday.

Finding presents to give to hunting buddies got a lot easier, and rewarding, after I started giving books written by JB and Eileen.

They deliver them real quickly, and the prices are very right for what I get(superb books).

Steve
