I have shot quite a few deer with a 708. The 139 Hornady's have smacked some right down along with 120 tsx's. Both seem to always exit and I have not had a deer run over 40 yards. The Hornady seems to do a lot of damage. The tsx is as usual. I shot one at the base of the neck 2 years ago with the tsx and found the bullet when I skinned it just under the hide on the rear quarter. Was bang flop on that one. I used the Hornady's in reduced loads for my kids and was pleasantly surprised at the penetration and killing power at a measly 2300 fps at the muzzle. Shot one through the heart and when I gutted it, the heart was blown in half.
