Thank you for the great story.
I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks.

AKA Whitepalm Sweet, I never get tired of looking at these pics and reliving the trip. My favorite hunt to date. Thanks Luke, looking forward to getting one in your sights in 2011, perhaps another for me too:) It was nice to finally hunt with someone that shares similar goals regardless of the effort required. Not to mention prepared to get it done, even after your unfortunate loss of the Skoal flip;) Im thankful. My half of the meat is nearly gone, been spreading the love via BBQ. I just finished cleaning the skull recently as well.

Dang Fishkilla (whitepalm), that did turn out pretty much amazingly. Love the mini flare out. Still have a fair amount of my sheep meat left due to lack of being home to eat it. Figure I will start eating it in earnest after November when my hunting season slows down. Yep hopefully 2011 will be the year of getting me a ram. If not I have just as much fun going on these trips and just being out in the middle of nowhere where most don't like to hike to, and its just easier to take a supercub into, but we are too cheap and too stupid to realize that.

guys, you have a memory that makes 99% of hunters in the world jealous. I hope you enjoy that half as much as I do reading it.
congrats.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Totally friggin' awesome.
This will definitely be a re-read for a trip a buddy (or three) hope to be able to make to AK in 2012.
Thanks for sharing!
