color is off because I had to adjust contrast & brightness to get the photo light enough to view.

I forgot to update you guys.

My dad got home from the hospital yesterday after his surgery on Friday. It was supposed to be an out patient deal but the surgery didn't go very well. The shoulder part went fine. They repaired his rotator cuff and got rid of some bone spurs.

They had trouble with the bicep. When the doc tried to attach it to the bone, it snapped again. Doc came out and asked my step-mom what she wanted him to do. They could leave it or try one more time. Trying one more time was risky, and he'd only done it twice before.

Karen (step-mom) said he wants that movement, so try again. The doc argued against it though. He paints cars, and needs that movement the bicep gives you so she made him do it.

The second try worked for now but he can't use that arm at all for 4 weeks. There is a wedge between his ribs holding his arm at a 90* angle from his body. It can't move or that muscle will snap again. Every week the doc will lower the wedge a bit for 4 weeks. Then it will be wrapped up for 4-6 more weeks, and he'll have PT. He's still pretty dopped up, so he can't really tell me much.

I hope that muscle holds long enough to fuse up & heal well.

Hey i got a set of rings & a mount for my 88 that I'm going to try. I have picked up this early mid 60's vintage leupold Vari X II 3-9X for the mid 60's Winchester 88 and now I found a new in box 60's erra weaver pivot mount which puts the scope nice & low on the reciever.

Looks like dad won't be doing much of anything for awhile Tom. The PT he has to go through isn't a whole bunch of fun either.

Wish him the best.

Hey Dave I didn't realize the new gate was so fancy. I just figured it would be like a regular cattle gate. Looks great. Now all you need is that metal Chickenbuck sign we were talking about last weekend.

Northern Dave: Real sweet looking Model 88. If I laid my Model 88 next to yours, you couldn't tell them apart except for the glass. Mine is also in minty shape and 88s shoot soooo well. Now, I would like to dissuade you from any possible thought of adding a recoil pad to this fine rifle.

Was he one of the young fielders? That was pretty cool. A dream come true for a kid for sure.

Yep, I saw him but must admit, I didn't know it was him. You could go down to the field after the game too and run the bases. I could barely walk, let alone run the bases though.

I lied too... Our seats were 24 rows up from the field. Good seats, field level. Had a Manny's Steak sandwhich for lunch too. Good but not $10/sand. good.

After I got done bowhunting saturday evening, I pulled the SD card on my camera. I had 2,200 pics of trains and 1 deer butt.

I think I better reposition that camera. Its overlooking a deer trail that leads down and over the tracks. Its aways off the tracks so I didn't think the darn thing would trigger on trains. Guess I was wrong! lol
