A holster that fits the SIG P228 SHOULD fit a P225. The P228 is essentialy a P225 with a double staked magazine.

just look at the holster as SiG makes the P228 with a rail as well and that will make your holster the wrong size...I'll check my P225 with a couple P220/P226 holsters to let you know as well...the P226 is longer so the holster will be longer but the rest should be similar (trigger guard is different but usually not THAT different)...
P225 is a great single stack 9MM pistol of the older design P series from SiG...should be a folded stamped steel slide over a breach block and pinned with roll pins...anodized alloy frame with a magazine capacity of 8+1...Called the P6 in Europe (Walther made a P5, HK made the squeeze cocker P7, etc.)
Traditional Double Action or DA/SA as we said when I started using SiGs in 1987...excellent reliability, lightweight and accurate...many consider the ultimate concealable 9MM (along with a S&W 3913 type pistol)...some like the slightly larger P228 (also very nice with a 13+1 capacity but of course it is a bit thicker in the grip and a bit heavier...
The P6 version for sale everywhere may be a bit different in that the earlier models did not feed hollowpoints as well (not so with early P225s) and should have a notched hammer but are really the same pistol...
Usually available in the SiG older "Blue" which can be a weak finish or can be found either refinished in nearly anything or in Nitron which is reported to be Ion Bond...

...by the way...upon checking, my P225 though not as snug as my P220, fits my Bruce Nelson Combat holster made for a P226...it's just a bit long in the barrel area...

I have a pair of P6/P225s. They are the older ones and are excellent quality. The older P225s are a great bargain, though they seem to be getting harder to find and pricier by the month.
