Those are portable tree stands.

Just stick a pallet over the forks and raise her up.

Presto!

Checked Dusty's trail cam at home. Plenty of deer traffic through there, all does & fawns from what I could see for sure.

No bear, no wolf, no coyote. Got a couple of pictures of someone's dog strolling through.

So, not sure if it wandered in from a neighboring cabin or?

Medium largish dog, long red hair, white on the tail.

I'll put the card back in dusty's cam tonight. I'm going to move my cam to swamp buck land, see if I can get a picture of a decent buck.

Thats what I thought too. He is going to sell the bigger one and keep the small one. Don't know why we really need it, he has pallet forks for the skidsteer. I thought for sure he was going to bring a combine home. He thinks he really needs one of those. He is going to plant corn and he needs one to farm our 1 acre field. smile

I'm not coming up until deer season Buschy. I'm headed to Duluth early to fix up some stands up there and hope to knock some feathers loose before I have to go to a wedding in the afternoon.

Don't these people know it's hunting season?

So, when are you going to do a feature film up there? Something like "Chickenbuck in da Moonlight" laugh? It oughta be at least as good and funnier than Jeff Daniel's "Escanaba in da Moonlight" crazy.

I passed my copy around the shop, and the local boys didn't much like it, they don't get the whole "Deer Camp" thing that you Northerners have going on. Too regional for them, they don't quite think that way you Yankees do.

I'm sorta with them, I don't get 'ice fishing' when it's -40, but hey, you're just making the best outa what you got. I can understand that, and applaud it.

In case you've missed the Jeff Daniels movie, go get it, quick like, it's funnier than it needs to be. smile

You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Deer camps aren't a northern thing. They are all over. Some of the best memories I have are from 35 or so years ago in a deer camp in Georgia.

I can hear Uncle Dusty now; "Chebby took a chit".

The movie had a lot of funny stuff in it, but than it got just plain strange ala Twin Peaks.
