My most useful rifle is my TC Encore with 3 barrels. 50 cal ML, 243 win., and 460 S W Magnum. It gives me a couple more weeks of deer hunting with the ML barrel, more accurate than most bolt action rifles, and it's just plain easy to carry.

A 1954 FN M98 in 30-06 that my dad bought brand spankin' new waaay back when before I was born. What's not to like about it? 30-06 (classic cartridge), CRF (never fails to feed), 23" barrel (light but just right on weight and balance), wood and blue (that's how a classic hunting rifle should be) .......... AND ........... it's my most treasured possesion.

toad, what size Butler Creeks are you using on your Swarovski range finder? I have the same one, and that is a graet idea!

to be honest, i don't know. i did that a year or so ago and don't remember the sizing. i believe they are all three the same size, but the two objective covers need trimmed to fit.

A savage 24V in 222/20 ga with a old Weaver K4 post. That "truck gun" has killed all kinds of game, and if it gets scratched up I don't really care. Not the nicest, but sure is the most useful gun I have.

A well used Winchester Model 70 XTR in 270. Accutate as heck with about anything you care to put in it. Shot so much with it you just know that whatever you point it at is going to go down.

Well I have two come to think of it. A Steyr Mannlicher Model M Professional in 7 x 57 that I have had since 1976. I just shoot 140 gr Noslers Partitions over 50 gr of IMR-4350, and the other is a Sako 75 SS in 338 Winchester Mag. It just shoots every thing I feed it well and I killed a lot a game with it. Just a good honest rifle. They may not be the best rifles ever made but they sure to keep zero year in and year out. Before these, I had a 7mm Remington Mag in a 700 BDL that I did a not of shoot with before I gotten the Steyr. That rifle was just about perfect, I just didn't know it at the time.

M99A 250-3000 - the utility rifle goes in the truck, combine, on the ATV, tractor and horseback. I even walk with it.

Remington Ti 30-06 and 165 NP at 2950fps. Have others, but they usually sit idle.
Good Shooting!
